SRFC caring and compassionate support will help you become renewed. This renewal will enable you to reconnect with others, have peace with yourself, and finally enjoy life again! If you desire to invest in your personal growth and development and are tired of being sick and tired, contact us so together, we can navigate a course towards your individualized health and wellness to 'build hope that renews'.
OUR COMMITMENT:
All ages and backgrounds of clients come to SRFC when lives are disrupted by: relationship difficulties, family crisis, transitional-life uncertainties, parenting concerns, on the job pressures, grief and loss despair, academic- school obstacles, and legal-Child Welfare System (CWS) hardships. These events may cause brokenness leading to feelings of being: out of control, fearful, stressed, rejected, lonely, anxious, and depressed. They can be even more overwhelming when implicit societal bias negatively impact. You are not alone! SRFC wants to collaborate with you to chart a new course and help guide you to safe harbors to recapture your vision and renew hope so that you can take control and enjoy life again!
OUR PASSION:
I am a retiree from the San Diego County Child Welfare System (CWS) and the State of California criminal justice system. While working with adults in these populations, I became aware that neglected mental health concerns often were responsible for their involvement within the CWS and the criminal justice system. Life’s hardships can cause us to want to give up and quit! Because of my past professional experiences, therapeutic work within SRFC draws from a deeper level of empathy, compassion, and understanding to work with those who appear hopeless to renew hope that transforms.
WHAT I DO:
I have a thorough grasp of both family systems, postmodern and psychodynamic theories and believe the root of most dysfunctions is the result of alienation and trauma. I am skilled at getting to the source of the matter and helping clients rediscover who they are and move forward with renewed hope and vigor. My work has included working with adults, children, teens, and adolescents. I have worked with children in school systems with the following diagnosis: ADHD, anxiety, relational conflict, learning disabilities, immigration issues, and emotional regulations. My work with the elderly has focused on helping them become engaged and reconnect with themselves and their communities. I believe that good assessments are the foundation for good therapeutic outcomes, and a accurate diagnosis is the foundation of effective treatment planning. My approach is to focus on proven treatment principles while collaborating with clients to achieve targeted goals and objectives for successful outcomes.
YOU ARE IMPORTANT!
Who you are is vital to SRFC, because you are unique and capable. SRFC encourages you to embrace your culture and strengths to optimize your therapeutic experience. If you prefer to integrate your Christian beliefs with evidenced-based psychotherapeutic principles, I am skilled at interweaving these two domains to fortify your personal growth and development. My desire is for clients to work to be the ‘best’ that they can be by “Building Hope that Renews.”
